While it has been awhile since the Las Vegas 2012 Shot Show, we still have plenty of updates, new products, and info about all the hot new airsoft guns coming out. In this report, we will be showing off many of the airsoft pistols that we saw and describing our initial impressions.
First up is the airsoft TT-33 Tokarev Pistol by KWA USA. This Russian pistol incorporates the NS2 system and was very light for its size. The entire pistol appeared to have been made from aluminum with plastic grips said to be extremely similar to the real steel’s. The grip is fairly narrow, but feels good when you wrap your hands around it. The lanyard ring is unobtrusive, but the sights aren’t adjustable. The FPS should be in the ‘indoors’ range.
Also from KWA was the newly unveiled Makarov MKV! Many Russian and ‘Red Army’ Airsofters have been dreaming of the day a well made Makarov would hit the field. This superb replica was extremely light, and very small. A little too small for large hands, but the compact nature of the airsoft Makarov meant that it can be stored anywhere. It also incorporated a lanyard loop, and a de-cocking lever. The FPS should be in the low range due to the size of the pistols internals.Kudos to KWA for not putting any english trades, even their KWA lettering is in a russian font.
Next up is the new Kel Tec PMR-30 made by Echo1. This pistol fires the .22 magnum cartridge and is a bit of an oddball in the real steel world. The airsoft version however, was pretty sick and functions identical to the real one. Mostly Polymer, the internals are metal with authentic trades.
Stay tuned for the next installment in our continuing series for the Las Vegas 2012 Shotshow.
